Documentarian Tradition
The Dispatch Project is rooted in the documentarian tradition of the longform body of work with an emphasis on an inside perspective, drawing strength from proximity, duration and the interior perspectives of those living within the unfolding narrative.

Visual Style
The aesthetics of the project embrace a more experimental sensibility, bringing an intense dynamic to the work, fragmenting and reshaping the narrative through atmosphere, rhythm, and cinematic tension.

A heightened sense of drama is created through film-still compositions that evoke the feeling of being dropped into the middle of a cinematic scene. In the image Embrace, a quiet tenderness unfolds as Mut, an EMS technician, embraces a distraught accident victim gesturing toward the collision. Her eyes appear on the verge of tears as she comforts the victim through touch. What came before, and what happens next, remains obscured, suspended beyond the frame.film-still image composition

Microtonal Frequencies of Light
The future-noir tonal values in the Dispatch Project are a direct result of sirens pulsing microtonal frequencies light. When captured with the proper technique, the effect mirrors the intensity of the subject matter, producing dense, richly layered tones.
Inside Perspective
Mr. Davis has cultivated close relationships with Bangkok’s two primary EMS providers, granting him unparalleled access to their work.
